2ne1 got to perform their BIGBANG sunbae’s song too in SBS Inkigayo earlier the new girl group performed Bigbang’s Last farewell one of their greatest singles and as expected (well at least i did expect it) 2ne1 did yet an another great performance.

so guys dont you think this girls deserves what they got!!

Big Bang GDragon and the Brave Brothers to release album on the same day 18th Aug

Known for their great hits like ‘Crazy’, ‘Last Greeting’ and ‘How’, one of Korea’s greatest producer Brave Brothers will be releasing their first single album on the same day as idol group Big Bang leader GDragon is releasing his solo album.

The Brave Brothers who were once the representative producer for YG Entertainment and has gone on to set up their own Brave Entertainment. And 8 years in preparation, they will release their first single album ‘Attitude’ on 18th August.

And about the title song ‘Attitude’, the Brave Brothers said, “Through this album, we want to show to others ‘this is really my music’, and we had used 8 years to prepare for it.”

Brave Brothers‘ style of music for their first single will use the hip hop beat together with their usual cyber sound.

And about releasing their album on the same day as Big Bang GDragon, since they had been producers in YG Entertainment and has even produced songs like ‘Last Greeting’ for Big Bang, they said, “It seems there will be some competition since we are releasing it on the same day and that we are said with good intentions to have ‘teacher-student’ relationship back then. I’m looking forward to it.”

And last on their track meant to be released for their American advanced being leaked online, “Currently we are investigating into how it got leaked. We will also do all the necessary amendments so that our music do not get leaked out again. We will do the preparation works so that this album, 8 years in the making, will not get leaked out.”

Meanwhile, Big Bang leader GDragon will also release his first solo album on his birthday on 18th August.

A look into 1st half of year 2009 – Girls Generation and Super Junior reined

Even though the meaning to album sales has began to take a smaller part to the releasing a new album, but in anyway it is still important to a singer in terms of the value of the music and the singer’s success.

So who has the best album sales in the Kpop realm for the 1st half of year 2009? We follow Hanteo chart to find the results tabulated as till 30th May.

And group Super Junior is said to have the highest album sales, with group So Nyeo Shi Dae following behind at #2. We have our Kings and Queens for the 1st half of 2009!

Super Junior had the highest number of album sales for this 1st half of year 2009. They released their 3rd album ‘Sorry Sorry’ in March selling over 100,ooo copies and then they went on to release version C of the album, to breakthrough 200,000 copies sold.

Following behind at #2 is group So Nyeo Shi Dae. They previously released their 1st minialbum ‘Gee’ in January and seeing over 70,000 copies.

The rest of the results:

1. Super Junior with 200,000 copies sold of ‘Sorry Sorry’
2. So Nyeo Shi Dae with 70,000 copies sold of ‘Gee’
3. Singer Seo Taiji sold 59,000 copies with his 8th album single ‘Seotaiji Atomos Part Secret’.
4. Shin Hye Sung sold a total of 35,000 copies ofhis 3rd album ‘Keep Leaves’
5. Bobby Kim with 34,000 copies sold for his special album.
6. SG Wannabe with 29,000 album sales for 6th album ‘Gift From SG WannaBe’
7. Indie band Jang Gi Ha and the Faces with 29,000 copies sold of their 1st album ‘Living without any special things (별일없이 산다)’
8. Davichi is at #8 with 28,000 copies sold of their minialbum giving hits like ‘8282′ and ‘Get into an accident’
9. Fly To The Sky last 8th album ‘Decennium’ selling 27,000 copies
10. Jo Sung Mo with 23,000 album sales for 7th album ‘Second Half’.

With the first half of 2009 ending, and we have the latter half the year – with many new additions to the competition like 2NE1, HyunA’s group 4Minutes and T-ara’s debuts, Big Bang, Se7en, KARA, So Nyeo Shi Dae and SS501’s comebacks – we have just more to look out for.

Yang Hyun-seok Downplays Rumors about G-Dragon’s Songwriting

G-Dragon Postpones Solo Album Release to August.

YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun-seok, 39, says all the songs that involved Big Bang member G-Dragon (real name Kwon Ji-yong) were written and composed entirely by G-Dragon himself. In a message that was posted on April 30 on the company’s official Web site, Yang explained in detail how G-Dragon wrote his songs. He posted the message in response to rumors that G-Dragon took credit for songs that were created by several people.

Yang says G-Dragon chooses melodies from dozens, and sometimes even hundreds, of accompaniments written by composers who work with YG Entertainment before he personally writes his own melodies, raps and lyrics. Then he records an example at the studio and begins rehearsing and recording with the other Big Bang members after discussing his work with them.

Yang also added that G-Dragon does not participate in the creation of the accompaniments nor do other composers participate in the creation of G-Dragon’s melodies and lyrics, and that there is a clear distinction between their duties. “I hope there won’t be any misunderstanding anymore,” wrote Yang.

Yang also said G-Dragon’s solo album, which was slated for release in April, had been postponed to August. “I met with G-Dragon recently because I heard he’d been having a hard time for a couple of months. He shared his worries with me and he looked more depressed than I realized,” wrote Yang, adding that G-Dragon has been exhausted physically and mentally because he never had a chance to rest since Big Bang’s debut. He has also felt significant pressure about his solo album, as he had little time to produce it due to Big Bang’s busy schedule, which included the release of the group’s Japanese debut album slated for June as well as TV commercial shoots.

“I encouraged him to take his time and release his album when he felt it was ready. After about a month, G-Dragon looked more upbeat. He’s been putting finishing touches on his solo album these days,” wrote Yang.

G-Dragon’s solo mini-album will likely contain seven tracks. He has been collaborating with new songwriters, and his new songs are expected to be significantly different from his previous works.

A total of about 20 teams are expected to perform, & changes might be made to the list of performers.
