TVXQ’s Yunho talks about the pending case with SM Entertainment

On August 2nd, during a press conference for the new MBC Drama “Heading to the Ground” at the Seoul Grand Hyatt Hotel, TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki’s leader Yunho briefly talked about the pending court case with three of TVXQ’s members (Jaejoong, Micky, Xiah).

Yunho said that there’s a lot of negative rumors floating around that simply aren’t true. As for the case itself, he wouldn’t go into details as he said he can’t say anything right now but he did say he wishes everything can be settled soon and in a peaceful manner. Yunho also said that all the TVXQ members have a strong bond. While he was working hard during a late night shooting for “Heading to the Ground,” he would receive encouraging text messages from his fellow TVXQ members. They would send text messages such as “How was your day?,” “Do Your Best!,” “Hwaiting / Fighting.” Yunho stated that he appreciated all their support and because it’s his first venture into acting he really needs their support.

It’s good to know that the bond amongst the members is still strong, hopefully everything will be resolved soon in an amicable manner.

SM Entertainment refutes TVXQ claim, Stock Dropping

SM Entertainment refuted TVXQ’s claims and stated that since their debut up until this month (July 2009), TVXQ has earned more than 11 billion won (over $9,000,000). They stated that despite the huge losses and budget problems that SM Entertainment has had these past years, the boys were paid royally (around $1,800,000 each) and that they also received high end products as gifts (cars, music players, LCD TV’s, etc.) SM Entertainment stated that the $9,000,000 earned doesn’t include the money that TVXQ received from Endorsements / CF’s, Events, Photo Ops, Signings, Japan sales, etc. SM Entertainment also stated that there is no law stating that a contract for an artist cannot be sign for more than 7 years. They concluded saying that they will try to resolve these issues immediately.

It looks like SM Entertainment is trying to make themselves look like the victims here, which you would expect. But all this negative news isn’t good for the company, as stocks fell around 10%. Here is the news according to Forbes:

“**S.M. ENTERTAINMENT SLIDES ON NEWS OF LEGAL FEUD**
S.M. Entertainment Co fell after several media reported on Saturday that members of Tong Bang Shin Gi (TVXQ), a South Korean boy band, filed an injunction in a Seoul court to terminate their contract with the talent agency.

‘For investors, it’s reasonable to worry over the news, since Tong Bang Shin Gi is one of the major sources of revenue for SM Entertainment,’ said Kim Chang-kwon, an analyst at Daewoo Securities.

S.M. Entertainment could not be reached for a comment.

S.M. Entertainment shares fell 10.06 percent to 3,755 won as of 0141 GMT”

I think this whole issue will be resolved soon, at the end of the day I think it will… or at least I hope it will.

The explanation

last April 4,2008 and incident about Micky Yoochun at Kimpo airport happen, he was caught in the camera grabbing the digital camera of a fan who is talking photo’s of them
here’s the video:

and now, here’s an explanation of what really happen
i got this letter from Philippine Cassiopeia

everyone’s been talking about it so i might share it as well^^

What really happened was that the fan keep taking pictures and disturbing them so Yoochun grab her hand to push her camera down. He told her to stop and he will return the camera to her later so she let go and let him have it. Yoochun did not snatch it. The airport man in red snatch it from Yoochun when he is trying to pass it to a DBSK staff behind them (probably to help him delete the pictures). Yoochun have no idea why the airport staff suddenly took it from him so he snatch it back saying he have to give it back to the girl later. At this point we saw Junsu’s face also showed that he was surprised why that man took the camera from Yoochun.

In the end after a short but loud explanation (those of us near that area can hear since he have to speak louder over the noise) to the male airport staff, Yoochun walk into the checked in area and pass the camera to another DBSK staff who have already checked in (again.. probably to delete the pictures. Fans will know this is what they do,)

Some of us fans have seen that girl many times. Unlike most of us, she kept taking pictures of them in their face and invades their personal space. It’s very rude and most of us fans will not do it. Normally fans will just wait outside music program venue to see them or wait at airport to send them off. Most of the time you can hear us telling them to have a safe journey and things like that. We usually keep our distant so as to not disturb them unless we need to pass them gifts! DBSK members actually are quite nice to their fan. They don’t mind our presences or us taking picture as long as we don’t block them, don’t grab them or take pictures in their face. DBSK will at most just walk away quickly when they are not in the mood.

As far as the group of us fans who see them often, DBSK members have never hurt any fans before or snatch their things even when some fans are being really rude. They mostly just push camera away, walk away quickly or ask their staffs for help. Most of the time people start rumours about them being rude or hurting fans based on videos or pictures. They are not there and do not know what actually happened. Videos and pictures can be deceiving.

Me and my friends clearly saw the girl letting go of her camera after Yoochun talk to her. I’m actually not much a DBSK fan but my 2 flatmates are, so I often get dragged along on their “DBSK Adventure” after our class. But fan or not, I don’t think it is fair the boys often get blamed for something they did not do so I just want people to not jump to conclusion just base on videos or pictures.

Sorry for my lengthy message.
